This corrido is about a man they all “El Kaliman” who bought a lot of land to plant poppy flowers. No one knows where he is from, some say he’s from Jalisco, others say he’s from Sinaloa. One day his crop was damaged by an army plane that flew over and El Kaliman furious over this got a Semi automatic weapon and shot down the plane. He fled to the mountains and was never found or captured. Some say he went to hide with the Tahumara Indians.
