Regarding Mariachi Los Leones
by Agustin Gurza, 07/16/2021 - 20:26Dear Israel:
I could not find any further information about this mariachi, and cannot say whether it's the group by the same name founded by your grandfather in Los Angeles. We rely on the label itself for much of the credits cited. I could not find any recordings in our database credited directly to Mariachi Los Leones.
I can tell you that Astro Records was a small label based in Corpus Christi, Texas. Discogs lists only four singles for the label on its website, including the one you inquired about.
Thanks for you interest in our collection.

Looking for Background on the Mariachi
by Israel (not verified), 06/14/2021 - 08:04Hello:
Is there any background information on the mariachi? My grandfather named his mariachi, Los Leones, while performing in Los Angeles throughout 1950s, '60s and '70s.
