Response to "La Sinfonola"
by Agustin Gurza, 07/19/2021 - 20:03Dear Juanita:
I agree, it's a very good song, with a humorous twist. Unfortunately, we are a library and do not sell any of the items in our collections.
Thanks for your suggestions for additional subject terms for the song. However, the tags are designed to apply generically across the whole collection. The terms you suggest certainly apply to this one song, but they are too specific for our purposes. By the way, I think "sinfonola" in this song means "jukebox," because the lyrics say the man drops a coin in the machine to play a song.
Thanks for writing and for your interest in our music.

Suggested Subjects for "La Sinfonola"
by Juanita S Jacinto (not verified), 07/27/2020 - 09:32Under "Subject," the following (terms) should be included: "Gramaphone," which is the "Sinfonola" at the bar. Another Subject could be "Lola," which is the woman the singer is singing about.
GREAT SONG! I have been looking for a good copy. How can I buy??
