Copyright and Access

Due to copyright restrictions the digital collection is only fully accessible from computers on the UCLA campus. Users from off campus have full access to the metadata, the images of the labels, and a short clip from the beginning of each recording.

The Library offers broad public access to our collections as a contribution to education and scholarship. Some of the digitized printed ephemera and many, if not all, of the websites in the collection and elements incorporated into the websites are protected by the U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S.C.). The materials may also be subject to publicity rights, privacy rights, or other legal interests. Transmission or reproduction of materials protected by copyright beyond that allowed by fair use requires the written permission of the copyright owners.

Researchers should consult the sites themselves for information about rights, contacts, and permissions. Responsibility for making an independent legal assessment of an item and securing any necessary permissions ultimately rests with those persons wishing to use the item(s).

If you are a copyright owner of or otherwise have exclusive control over materials presently available through this collection and do not wish your materials to be available through this website, please contact the UCLA Library:
