Staff Notes: This corrido is about the death of Lupe Garza. It takes place on a Monday at about 1 pm in the state of Montana in the year 1956. Lupe and a man named Santos Ozuna left a bar where they drinking. They were hit by a truck while on the street. Lupe Garza was injured while Santos died at the scene. Lupe Garza eventually died at the hospital. There are two copies of this 78. They both share a common song on one side which is “El Descalzo”. The other side of each 78 has a different song.
