This corrido is a about a murderous robber by the name of Güero Estrada, who robbed and murdered his victims in Tamaulipas, as they were crossing into the United States. He would relieve them of their money, kill them, and dump their bodies into the Rio Grande. He was ultimately caught by authorities on November 22nd (year unknown), and was credited with 32 murders. Cut is not slated, as this is a prepared / edited Reel. Handwritten date on back of actual Tape Box reads “11-27-67”. Cuts 5 & 6 have been removed from this Reel and sent to ILP-161 on 10-15-69, per handwritten note on actual Tape Box. Tape Box contains Manufacturing Order / Letter, dated November 20, 1967, requesting “echo as usual”.
