Tips for finding Lola Beltran on vinyl
by Agustin Gurza, 01/05/2022 - 18:32Dear Mr. Garcia:
Unfortunately, we cannot sell any of the music on the Frontera Collection, which is a digital library database with public access. However, I am a collector and fan of old Mexican music, and I can suggest a couple places that sell used LPs. First, try Discogs.com which has almost 200 entries for Lola Beltran, most of them for sale. However, I was abler to find only one LP with the song you are looking for, “Declarate Inocente.” That LP was recorded by Hispavox in Spain, so the items available for sale are all from Europe, priced in Euros, which gets expensive with shipping.
Amazon carries a lot of albums by Beltran, but mostly CDs. I agree with your voice teacher that vinyl sounds better, but you must gamble on the condition of used records. CDs can be found in new condition, and some sound decent, if not better, although it’s hard to know until you play them.
Finally, there’s a website in Mexico called “Mercado Libre,” which works like Amazon and takes PayPal. They have tons of product by Lola Beltran, including more than 100 vinyl LPs.
Good luck shopping. And congratulations to your daughter for her musical endeavors, and to you and your son for supporting her.

Lola Beltran.
by Francisco Garcia (not verified), 09/11/2021 - 06:50I would like to purchase an album by Lola Beltran, Los Pinos y Otros Exitos. A specific song I’m looking for is "Declarate Inocente." My granddaughter is attending LVA Academy in Las Vegas Nevada, and has a class in Mariachi, and practices a harp bought and ordered by her father, who is my son; he also plays the trumpet & harp. She has a voice teacher that my wife and I are taking her to, in downtown Las Vegas. Her voice teacher highly recommended her to listen to the actual 33 LP album, because the sound is a lot better then CDs or other digitally mastered sounds.
I hope you can help me, or direct me in the right direction to purchase that album, and maybe other albums by Lola Beltran & others.
Thank you very much,
Mr. Francisco F Garcia.
