Notes & History
Amazing!
by Larry Montano (not verified), 11/10/2018 - 17:28As a boy, I heard this recording at Grandmother’s house for the very first time. When Grandma passed away, everything was lost or thrown away.
This song was written by my father after he met my mother after WW2. Dad was an 82nd Airborne paratrooper, fresh back from overseas.
Uncle Juan helped Dad with some of the wording of the lyrics.
Mom and Dad were married 67 years ago and still reside in central California.
Uncle Manuel, one of the trio, also resides in California. Both are in their 90’s now.
Dad still sings and plays to this day!
What a thrill to hear this song again after all if these years.
We, the Montaño family, are extremely grateful for your work preserving our heritage.
